Head To Hamilton

Take the NJ Transit train, 1 hour and 20 minutes outside the city, into Hamilton, NJ. There you will find Grounds for Sculptures. Ground for Sculptures is as a 42-acre sculpture park composed of works by well-known and emerging American and international artists. The park is full of quirky sculptures and exhibits, with hidden surprises. Visitors are encouraged to explore all parts of the park in order to find those surprises. There are also multiple restaurants on the grounds. For a small fee, cafes can put your meal in a basket so you can have a spontaneous picnic in the park.

Although you may be headed out of the city for a more relaxing atmosphere, Atlantic City is still worth a visit. During the winter you can enjoy snow tubing, skiing and snow boarding. Once the snow melts the fun doesn’t stop. In the summer season visitors can go on zipline tours, take 4×4 off road drives, and learn how to fly fish.

Step Back In Time At Sleepy Hollow

The legendary town of Sleepy Hollow is only a 45 minute train ride via Metro-North. Urban legend lovers can visit landmarks such as the headless horseman bridge and the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery. Head to Phillipsburg Manor, where staffers dress in 1700s garb, to learn about the life and culture of old Sleepy Hollow.
