Allegiant Air Now Offering $49 Fares On Domestic U.S. Routes

Allegiant Air has been known for many years now as an airline that offers surprisingly low rates for domestic U.S. flights. Well, now the airline is raising the bar again by actually lowering it!  Travelers heading to select U.S. cities can now book some of the lowest rates the airline has ever offered.

Allegiant is opening up new routes beginning this summer, and in celebration of the event, they’re also offering fares to these cities, primarily in Tennessee and Florida, starting at $49 (a few select cities are as low as $35, as of the writing of this article!).

Starting June 8, travelers boarding in Norfolk, Virginia or Louisville, Kentucky will be able to fly to Jacksonville, Florida at this new, lower rate. The route is currently being labeled as “seasonal” by Allegiant, so it’s unknown how often or for how long that particular route will be available. At any rate, if you live in the Louisville or Norfolk area and a Florida summer vacation is on your radar, that rate is pretty hard to pass up. The same applies to travelers in the Kansas City area who may be thinking about a trip to Myrtle Beach, as it’s another seasonal route with low fares that Allegiant is offering beginning June 8. One final seasonal route the airline is launching on June 14 will take passengers from the St. Pete, Florida airport to Syracuse, New York.

Allegiant is also offering some new year-round routes as well—most notably a flight from St. Pete, Florida to Nashville.

Allegiant Air’s senior vice president remarked how these new routes will really open up some options for summer vacationers looking for affordable, non-stop and convenient flights to some of the hottest summer destinations in the U.S.

Allegiant is planning on making some more travel news next year, too. It’s currently planning a sizeable expansion to the Florida market with the opening of a huge resort in Port Charlotte, Florida scheduled. The 20-acre hotel will be home to the largest pool in North America.
