People get vacation inspiration from all sorts of different sources. Some folks want to visit the best beaches, others are looking for the best winter skiing, and some are looking to stay in cities with the best restaurants. For some, the hotel itself may be reason enough for booking a trip. An even smaller group of us may book a trip simply based on the quality of the bar at the hotel. If you fall into that category, this article is for you. Here are some of the best hotel bars in the world.
Chandelier Bar, Cosmopolitan Hotel
The Chandelier Bar in Las Vegas’s Cosmopolitan Hotel is built to represent an actual chandelier. With three separate tiers, guests can progress their way upward and indulge in a different cocktail experience at each level. From the dance floor on the bottom tier to the exclusive lounge at the top, you can find some of the best cocktails in all of Las Vegas.
Icebar by Icehotel
While Icebar can now be found in several locations around the world, the Jukkasjarvi location is the original. If you’ve never heard of Icebar, here’s the rundown: everything in the bar—from the glasses to the actual furniture—is made of ice. Aside from a very unique atmosphere, you can also enjoy the coldest vodka you’re likely to find anywhere on the planet.
M Bar, Mandarin Oriental
Located on the 25th floor of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, M Bar offers some of the best views in Hong Kong. The furniture and décor are worth the price of the cocktails, which are amazing. Plus, you can order food from the Man Wah restaurant, which currently holds a Michelin Star rating and is conveniently located next door.
Sky Bar, Lebua at State Tower
The drinks at the Sky Bar have price tags that are relative to the height at which you’ll be consuming them. Located on the 63rd floor of the Lebua at State Tower, Sky Bar’s views are the best in Bangkok. There are plenty of places in town to get cheaper drinks, but the experience at Sky Bar is worth the extra cash you’ll pay for a cocktail.
